I studied for 2 years under many exceptional teachers learning the 5000 year old Science of Ayurveda. Unlike Western medicine, Ayurveda is a holistic science that looks at wellness as a whole, considering the balance between mind, body, spirit, and social well-being. The word “Ayurveda” means “the knowledge of life”. It seeks to treat the root cause of illness rather than just the symptoms. This led me to Herbalism.
